Abstract
In this paper we will address the proliferation of treatments based on higher pH conditions than had been traditional with zinc chromate-based inhibitors. Areas such as scaling, corrosion potential, biological activity, wood deterioration, etc., will be examined and compared under the various pH ranges.
Rather than justify a pH range to suit a particular chemical treatment, this paper will describe what can be expected under different pH conditions.
