Abstract
This paper describes fabricating procedures and physical requirements for glass fiber reinforced thermoset furan resin laminates as used as a material of construction for reinforced thermosetting plastic chemical resistant tanks, piping and other equipment. It stresses the important differences involved in fabricating with furan resins compared to the fabricating techniques employed with more conventional polyester type chemical resistant resins. The chemical resistance of furan laminates is also discussed.
