Furan polymer concrete is a new material with outstanding corrosion resistance which can be used as a replacement or topping for Portland cement concrete. This material also develops higher physical strengths than Portland cement concrete. Its ease of application and rapid cure and strength development result in a minimum of plant downtime. Installed furan polymer concrete will withstand foot traffic and light equipment placement within a few hours after being poured. Furan polymer concrete also may have utility in applications where corrosion is not the prime concern due to its quick and easy application, rapid strength development, excellent physical properties and essentially non-flammable properties.
