Abstract
This paper examines the development of quality control procedures for modern pipe coating materials, particularly powder epoxies. It suggests that there are still many important aspects of coating inspection that are not covered by routine monitoring procedures and that need careful and practical interpretation by specially trained 3rd party inspectors.
