Abstract
This study was to assess the hot corrosion resistance of candidate alloys and protective coatings when exposed to sprayed fused-salt in air plus SO2 environment at 1100 and 1175°F. The key element for improved resistance is Cr, and the Ni-and Fe-base alloys are superior to the Co-base alloys in corrosion resistance.
