As we enter into the next 20 years, one of our nation’s major challenges will be the availability of water. About 70 percent of all fresh water used by industry today is for non-contact cooling purposes. To meet the crisis of future water needs, the use of cooling towers and water recycling must continue to accelerate. Water is becoming more scarce, new water-intensive industrial processes are being developed, and environmental discharge rules and regulations are expanding.
