Some recent experiences have offered insight regarding the formation of ammonium bisulfide by gasoils, vacuum distillates and/or resids hydroprocessing. As a matter of fact, unlike the usual light feeds, the heavier products are likely to produce ammonium bisulfide in the system in relationship to both the nitrogen and sulfur content of feedstocks, the type of process and the operating conditions.
