The use of a zero resistance ammeter to measure galvanic corrosion under a number of conditions has been well documented (1 - 3); however, its use to predict the corrosion response of weldments has not been reported on in detail. Corrosion in weld areas is very often what limits the life of process equipment or piping where it is possible to have a small anode and a very large cathode.
