Copper exists in many forms in nature as a natural constituent of soils and waters of the world. Copper tubing has been used extensively in such applications as conveying drinking water, air-conditioning and refrigeration, desalting plants, foodstuff containers and power plant heaters and condensers. The inherently good corrosion resistance of copper alloys makes them suitable for such applications.
