Lining materials are used to protect the inside of chimneys or flues from corrosive elements in the exhaust gases. This is equally true for scrubbers, ducting, fans and other ancilliary equipment. Conventional lining materials such as steel and brick have been used for many years, and their fabrication and corrosion properties are fairly well established.
