The Condensed Chemical Dictionary by Rose1 shows that the term "furan resins" refers to monopolymers of furfuryl alcohol, to resins obtained by condensation of phenol with furfural or furfuryl alcohol, and to the furfural-ketone polymers. In general, the generic term "furan resins" covers many resinous products that contain the heterocyclic unsaturated furan ring in their molecular structures.
