In a companion paper the author has discussed the effects and characteristics of telluric current interference with pipeline cathodic protection without concerning himself in detail about causes. (1) Very little has been published so far in this area of pipeline technology. Much more has been published by technologists working in other fields. A review of the literature has been found to be helpful by the author in advancing his own knowledge.
