Aluminum Co. of Canada, Ltd. operates a harbor in Eastern Canada, 265 miles north of Montreal. The Port Alfred Harbor is located at the end of a nine-mile-long bay on the Saguenay River, 66 miles upstream from the St. Lawrence River. Exhibits 1 and 2. The harbor is a vital terminal for supply of baux­ite, coke, caustic, oil and other raw materials required to operate two alum­inum smelters capable of producing 750,000 tons of metal annually.
