Considerable emphasis is presently being placed on conserving water and reducing water pollution. To accomplish these objectives, a significant gain can usually be made by industrial water users if water recycling programs are employed. Several recycling techniques have proven successful but each has its own advantages and disadvantages. Each industrial plant must thoroughly investigate the alternatives before undertaking a specific program.
