During the last year work has continued at Reynolds Metals Company toward understanding the performance of aluminum alloys in various distillation desalting plant environments. The work has been proceeding on two fronts, the laboratory and the pilot plant, with the support of the Office of Saline Water. Earlier papers(1-2) presented before the NACE have discussed the work completed through September, 1971. This paper will update the earlier papers and discuss the laboratory work completed through September, 1972.
