It is becoming increasingly apparent that legislation regulating the lead content of coatings and the use of lead-containing paints will have restrictive effects on lead-containing coatings used on many surfaces. Even though variances or exemptions may be given for the use of lead-containing paints in some specific areas, it is possible that some governmental bodies will not grant these exemptions. Further, many customers will be requesting coatings conforming to “lead-free” regulations whether it is necessary or not.
