In the past 6 or 7 months I don't believe a day has gone by when I have not heard or seen some comment made on the subject of air pollution, sound pollution or water pollution. Whether these highly fashionable topics are as serious as some would have us believe is a matter subject to speculation and is certainly not within the scope of this paper. What is an irrefutable fact, however, is that there has been some form of water pollution from the first day the human animal or for that matter, any animal, has been on this earth. So that this entire subject can be put into its proper perspective, suffice it to say that man is not the sole culprit in the polluting of his environment.
