Stainless steels possess excellent chemical and mechanical properties. This is so well known, it does not need to be emphasized. Common knowledge is also that the consumption of stainless steels is steadily growing and that stainless steels are standing up successfully to the most rigorous demands in the chemical and food industries, in architecture and many other fields.
