The expanding requirements of the chemical process industries for higher pressures, higher operating temperatures and greater volumes in chemical reactors has led to the development of wider service parameters for glass lined steel equipment. New coating compositions, new application techniques and new types of base metals have broadened the use of glass coated metal vessels and accessory equipment.
