The necessity of cleaning industrial equipment, such as utility boilers, petroleum refining units and chemical plants, for the maintenance of operational efficiency, has long been recognized. An item of concern in the removal of operational deposits, by chemical means, has been the preservation of the equipment being cleaned. To this end, corrosion inhibitors have been developed to substantially reduce or eliminate the attack of many chemical solutions on the equipment being cleaned.
