Much progress has been made during the past few years in developing thin film coatings to prevent corrosion of pipeline systems. During these years, manufacturers and applicators have used holiday detectors in plants where inspection is not a problem since most factors are constant. In the field, however, many variables affect the design and efficiency of equipment.
