Abstract
Measurements of polarization decay of steel coupons in salt water, and reinforced concrete pilings in seawater are presented. A simple nested equivalent circuit with two time constants was used to simulate the potential decay behavior of the steel in concrete. A procedure for determining the equivalent circuit parameters from polarization decay data is presented.
