Abstract
Based on NACE Document No. 6H-189, the design of a probe was developed to evaluate, in a salt chamber, the protective coatings which were supposed to work under thermal insulation at high temperatures (30 - 150°C). This paper describes the results obtained with different combinations of protective coatings (Silicone-Aluminum, Zinc-Rich and Aluminum Metallizing), and thermal insulators (mineral wool, fiber glass and calcium silicate).
