This paper discusses the origins of ISO 9000, the components of ISO 9000, and reviews the perceived benefits and limitations of ISO 9000. It discusses the potential benefits for a coatings company to become ISO 9000 certified and briefly reviews the process, and debunks some common misconceptions or myths regarding ISO 9000.
