Abstract
Method A of the NACE TM0177-90 standard is the one most used to determine the Sulfide Stress Corrosion Cracking (SSCC) resistance of Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) products. So, in this paper, we propose an optimisation of the geometry and the surface preparation for the specimen utilized in this test method.
Moreover, some customers are interested in testing specific products according to NACE TM0177-90 standard, but only in a certain percentage of H2S. Thus, we have also explained the influence of test conditions, in particular the dilution gases used : CO2 or N2.
