Abstract
FRP composites are broadly used in process chemical industries and in pulp and paper mills. Electrochemically produced sodium chlorate is used in the generation of chlorine dioxide for pulp bleaching. Very corrosive conditions are experienced in pulp and paper mills and in chlorate manufacturing facilities. Experience has shown that well designed and fabricated FRP structures are an economical and practical alternative for handling sodium chlorate solutions. Use of other materials is discussed.
