Abstract
A five step, 24 hour, electrochemical test method has been investigated and applied to a series of eight previously tested indium activated aluminum alloys. As-cast as well as-cut surfaces were characterized by constant current, constant potential and potentiodynamic curve determinations. The method is shown to provide considerably more information to QA/QC inspectors than that available from the NACE TM 0190-90/98 test method.
