Abstract
This report summarizes the results of an effort to identify effective, now-term, environmentally compliant corrosion prevention and control processes for Air Force ground-based vehicles (AFGBV) that could be integrated at both organizational and depot levels. This report is a comprehensive discussion of the results of this project, alternate coating systems, and the effects of corrosion on untreated surfaces. Additionally, corrosion problems noted throughout this report are not relegated to one particular model, design, or series of vehicles but to the vehicle fleet as a whole. Therefore this report will not attempt to categorize corrosion prone vehicles but will address specific concerns in vehicle design and maintenance.
