Successful and cost effective Corrosion Risk Assessment depends on a sensible use of prediction methods and good understanding of process factors. Both are discussed with examples. Practical, semi- probabilistic Risk Based Inspection planning methods that measure risk directly as cost and personnel hazard are compared with traditional methods and discussed.
