During offshore pipelaying operations, problems were encountered with attaching the anodes to the pipe. This resulted in only one anode for the first kilometer of pipe. A CP evaluation was conducted to determine if an anode retrofit would be required. The paper describes the analysis conducted and the recommendations that were issued.
