Abstract
Many types of anti-corrosion coatings are available for use on buried pipelines. Testing and experience have shown that some coatings may perform better than others in a given environment. In order to ensure the longest possible useful life of a coating, several important factors must be considered. These factors include service history, coating selection, coating application, and in-service performance monitoring.
