Abstract
Raw material suppliers to the coatings industry perform accelerated tests on relatively simple formulations to determine if improvements have been achieved relative to controls. Though these tests yield valid relative rankings among systems, they cannot substitute for long-term testing under actual conditions. Commonly used accelerated test methods and data are discussed in this report.
