Abstract
Internal pipe coatings are often damaged by field operating conditions and handling procedures. Laboratory comparisons of commercially available coatings have shown that some internal coatings are surprisingly intolerant of wireline abrasion, rapid depressurization, and external pipe dents. Samples used for the tests were supplied by the coatings applicators and are from typical production runs.
