Abstract
This paper discusses a case history where stray current activity from a DC operated streetcar system caused extensive corrosion leaks in a new metallic water distribution system within a short time. The water system is located in a suburban Philadelphia community. Investigations which determined the cause of the premature leaks, the corrective action taken, and action which might have been taken to prevent the failures are discussed.
