The state of ambient temperature curing water-based epoxy systems is reviewed. Ingredients are discussed and both advantages and disadvantages of these coating are outlined. It is clear that their corrosion-protective qualities do not yet reach the level of conventional type 1 epoxy/poly amidoamine systems.
