Abstract
Various factors affecting the performance of INCONEL* alloy 617 in refinery service are evaluated. The influence of long-term exposure at 1000-1400°F (538-760°C) on mechanical properties and high-temperature low-cycle fatigue studies are reported. In addition the effects of various heat treatments and resulting microstructure on polythionic acid stress corrosion cracking resistance and intergranular attack resistance are determined.
