Fusion bonded epoxy powders are being increasingly used to replace traditional coatings on valves and fittings destined for underground service. The development of this technology has highlighted the need for special techniques and performance standards.

This paper deals with recent developments in this area within the context of the changing requirements of the water and gas industries.
