A solution to the problem of effectively coating spiral welded pipe with an extruded polyethylene system, led to the development of this pipe coating method. This method combines the benefits of conformability and the corrosion protection of mill applied tape coatings with the advantages of better handling and storage along with the corrosion resistance of a seamless, side extruded polyethylene pipe coating system.
