Abstract
Physical Aspects of Coating Application" outlines some of the events which take place in coating application which are not usually considered but which can influence the effectiveness of the finished coating. Some of these are the work of sand grains in cleaning a surface, the forming of a coating onto a surface by brushing, the velocity and direction of spray particles and the impact of the coating particle on the surface. All have a direct influence on the adhesion and effectiveness of the coating.
