Abstract
A corrosion test system has been assembled which is capable of evaluating inhibitors under high pressure CO2 environments. The system features once through flow which allows good simulation of field operations.
Tests have been performed with brine and brine/oil mixtures with a typical water soluble and oil soluble inhibitor. The oil soluble inhibitor was effective in reducing the corrosion rate under high CO2 pressure while the water soluble inhibitor was not.
