Abstract
Exposures were conducted on 16 commercially produced aluminum sacrificial anodes in brackish water for a period of 18 months to determine their relative electrochemical efficiencies. The anodes were used to protect a bare steel seawall. The operating potential, current, and electrochemical efficiency of each anode material were measured, and their performance in brackish water compared to that in seawater.
