Abstract
Test samples from a large delivery of zinc bracelets for the Statpipe gas gathering project in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea have been analysed and tested electrochemically with respect to potential and capacity according to a combined 96 hours test as specified by Det norske Veritas.
The test results have been treated by a computer, and a regression analysis has been performed to find equations for potential and capacity vs. chemical composition.
The analysis shows that both potential and capacity may be calculated with an acceptable accuracy, so electrochemical tests may be reduced to spot checks without losing significant information.
