Studies have been conducted to determine how calcium phosphate inhibition may be effected by the selection of various chemical moieties of low molecular weight polymers. Using laboratory procedures for screening inhibition and crystal modification, numerous chemical compositions have been explored. Based upon our results, structural requirements for a calcium phosphate inhibitor will be proposed.
