This paper highlights some of the Air Force electronic corrosion problems and solutions to those problems. It includes a brief introduction to the Air Force agencies and organizations that are responsible for designing, testing, and maintaining weapon systems and equipment to provide corrosion integrity. Several examples of major and minor electronic corrosion problems that have occurred in Air Force systems are discussed. The paper provides a discussion of how the Air Force is trying to prevent corrosion in all Air Force aerospace systems.
