Abstract
Stress corrosion cracking failures selected for their uniqueness or learning value will be presented and discussed. The influence of design and cracking criteria will be discussed for several of the more common metals and alloys used in chemical processing. Examples of stress corrosion cracking in a variety of metal-environment systems will be presented.
