Moisture cure urethanes formulated with aluminum pigments have been utilized as effective primers for ferrous metal substrates in corrosive environments.1 A minimum of two mils dry film thickness (DFT) per coat is necessary for effective protection, with a total of 4-4.5 mils DFT preferred.
