Abstract
Laboratory test data are presented which rank the resistances of alloys to erosion-corrosion, uniform corrosion, and localized corrosion in environments that relate to the pulp and paper industry. A series of results from field corrosion tests and service trials in various mills are reviewed. Field corrosion tests and service trial results are used to provide information on the relevancy of alloy rankings from laboratory tests and for material selection processes.
