This paper deals with laboratory testing of Fusion Bonded Epoxy Coating and how the results relate to performance criteria and results of actual exposure in the field. Many of the generally accepted tests are examined in an attempt to establish a threshold value for failure.

Another aspect of the paper deals with moisture permeation through an organic film (semi-permeable membrane) and its affect on the performance of an Fusion Bonded Epoxy film.
