Abstract
The mechanism of copper and copper alloy corrosion inhibition under coolinq water conditions is developed for the several tautomers of the vicinal triazoles, Benzotriazole and Tolyltriazole.
Potentiometric data are presented to describe the corrosion over a range of pH and concentration. The effect of chlorine on the corrosion inhibition is developed. The nature of the interference with inhibition is described.
