Abstract
Corrosion problems encountered in wastewater treatment facilities above the water surface are described. The H2S, H2SO4 production and corrosion sequence is reviewed. The effects of these corrodents and others on materials of construction in wastewater treatment facilities are explained. The use of different methods and materials to minimize corrosion is explored. Emphasizing, corrosion control by design and materials selection.
